Our client is a reputable and leading international manufacturing company based in Western Sydney and one of the largest global manufacturers of its product class. The company is committed to their product and clientele and are an iconic household name. They are also actively involved in the clean energy transition and offer a range of renewable products.

 

About the role

Reporting to the General Counsel for ANZ and with access to legal teams across the globe-you will be working on a diverse range of legal issues, including contracts, competition and consumer law, disputes, marketing and advertising, privacy, and IP matters. You will also assist in corporate transactions, as well as supporting the Corporate Affairs function with government and policy-related matters from time to time. You will also assist with developing and implementing strategic initiatives as part of building the company in-house legal function.

 

About you:

  • Associate or Senior Associate (5-8+PQE)
  • Experience in a top tier law firm or in-house legal team of a reputable company are a must;
  • Education: Bachelor of Law’s Degree or Juris Doctor (required) for this role with relevant Australian Legal Qualification/Admission (unrestricted).
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation including senior professionals as well as the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • A background in consumer electronics, manufacturing, energy or climate is desirable as well as experience in managing, mentoring and training team members.
